Thank you for visiting my site.
I am a knife maker since 1999.
My extensive experience as geological engineer taught me a real value of a true "working" knife, which is a combination of a highly functional blade and fully ergonomic handle. The knives created by me have great functional purpose, which has been represented in knife making traditions of Norway, Sweden,North Russia and Finland.
When I make my knives I keep in mind that in harsh weather conditions you cannot afford the blade that is not able to neither deliver performance nor a handle that is not suitable for hours of hard labor and which can not provide comfort and effectiveness of a working tool for hours of hard work. My blades are either made out of the best quality steel available from the most reputable manufacturers and individually tempered. These knives look nothing like your average knife, and they perform better than any conventionally designed one.

No nonsense knife. Isn’t it something all of us really dream of having in the pocket or on the belt? Okay, there is no such thing as an “ultimate knife”. In fact, while we all dream of something ultimate (knife, gun, cure, etc.), the world around us exists in multiple varieties of forms and functions. That is why knife makers have to pray the God every day for giving them an opportunity to create such a variety of knives for different purposes and for different taste customers.
Often, we are attracted to the knives coming from the shops of the knife makers who “know what they are doing” – the former special forces members, professional explorers, etc.
Now, how about a touch of “Russian adventure”? The Krymlin’s knives are coming from the shop of a knife maker who knows first-hand the importance of a good utility and/or hunting knife. Oleg Krymlin has a college degree in Geology and worked as a geologist in Siberia – the region with climate and life conditions similar to Alaska. There were more than a dozen situations when to survive, he had to rely on his knife. This is how Oleg Krymlin came to understanding of what the real survival utility and/or hunting knife should be: the shape of the handle and the material used to make the handle, the geometry of the blade, the type of steel used to make the blade and the forging process – everything is seriously considered based on Oleg’s life experience and ability to survive the harsh environment of the Russian North.
Excellent quality and design utility knives are not the only products coming from the Krymlin shop. His kitchen knives are of a superb quality. They will also satisfy anybody who is looking not just for the working horse but an aesthetically pleasing creation. As in the case with Oleg’s utility, hunting and survival knives, kitchen knives are created based on Krymlin’s cooking experience. Don’t get us wrong: this is not a Steven Seagal’s cook depicted in “Under Siege”. Oleg is a peaceful person with great passion for cooking who understands the essential qualities of kitchen knives.

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:
If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:
If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'
If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son!
